Savannah's Blessing

We blessed Savannah on Sunday, November 6.  Everything went well.  Savannah really only likes to be held one way...facing out with your arm around her tummy, so... we wondered how long she would last before fussing.  Part way through the blessing, she began to fuss, but quickly stopped and everyone wondered how they managed that.  Well, Grandpa Keesler stuck his finger in her mouth...and she was happy for the rest of the blessing!!!

Savannah's Blessing Dress Pictures

Savannah's blessing isn't until next week, November 6, but we decided to take some of the stress off by taking some pictures of her in her dress before.  Now we can enjoy the day and just take some candid pictures of the event!

A couple weeks ago, Nicole finally got a picture of Savannah smiling and laughing.  It's not that she never does...she is just hard to catch on camera!  She is so adorable!!!

Savannah is doing well.  Her acid reflux is still a significant issue, but everything looks good so the doctors say she should just outgrow it!  She is up to 10lbs...so...obviously getting as least something in that tummy!

She only cat naps for 10-20 minutes here and there during the day, but sleeps a good 4-5 hours at night.  She now enjoys laying on the floor to look around and play.  She tries to squeak noises out here and there and is becoming very alert!

Two month check-up & shots

Savannah had her two month check-up and shots this past week.  She is currently 9 lbs. and 21.5 in. long.  She also had a ultrasound of her tummy.  She has been throwing up a lot and the doctor wanted to be sure it was just the acid reflux or something she would outgrow.  The ultrasound came back normal, so...that is a relief.  However, we are still going to go to a specialist to be sure...and to check her herniated umbilical because it has gotten rather large as well. Overall, Savannah is doing very well and beginning to act like a newborn!  She is getting to be so much fun.  She makes faces, some noises, and is starting to look at us!!!

Savannah at 6 weeks

Savannah hit the 6 week mark on Monday, July 4, 2011...her due date!  Here are a few pictures taken a couple days before and after that day!

At Savannah's 6 week appointment she weighed 7lbs, 8oz.  She is now sporting little chubby cheeks...but not an ounce of fat anywhere else!

She continues to struggle with the acid reflux.  She has to stay sitting upright for a good hour after eating...and that is still no guarantee.  She is still gaining weight though, so that is a plus.  That may have something to do with the fact that she usually eats about every 2 hours.

Savannah is beginning to act a little more like a newborn versus a premie!  She usually just eats, sleeps, and poops!!!

She sure is a cute little thing...and it is a good thing because she definitely has a temper.  She wants things right now...or 5 minutes ago!  She LOVES to give those lungs a workout...and sometimes for no apparent reason.
